Aluminum, which is found in nature as bauxite ore, is one of the most abundant elements in the world. Pure aluminum is a soft metal, but its alloys are about 15 times stronger than its pure form. Its weight is about one-third that of steel or copper. It can be easily forged, machined and shaped. It has very high corrosion resistance.
